Gonjo Sanada was one of the Sanada clan. His ambition was to become a monk to guide the leaders to read the prophecy in faith for the future. Gonjo left the Sanada clan and met Katsuya Akechi in the temple. He was hired as the guardian since Katsuya learned that Gonjo may give more guide about the Art and Culture.
In a few month later Gonjo Sanada left the Akechi Clan and joined forces with Mitsuru Oda to participate in Aikado's forces.
